The group of women called Virgen de Fátima came about ten years ago in the city of Ybycui. Work began with the Fundación Paraguaya, and this year, thanks to a promotion offered by one of the members, and through steady communication and visiting with a counselor, a new group was formed by 14 women. The ladies are very united, trustworthy and caring, and they mentioned that they like working together as a team, with strength and care, working together in the group program.
One of these women is Claudia, who works selling chipas (a traditional Paraguayan food dish, prepared from a base of starch), with which she can support her family. She comments that she makes sacrifices to do this work, she travels about daily in order to sell her products, but she tells us that each effort has value in regards to helping her family.
She is asking for a loan in order to buy chipas, so that she will be able to continue with her work and to help her family.
