A loan helped to buy basic grains, clothes, footwear and cosmetics.

Maria Lidia's story

María is 60 years old and a widow. She lives in the city of León and has six children. She is a shopkeeper by trade and owns a grocery store. María set up her business with her own capital as she used to work as an assistant in a poultry company but it closed down and she was left without a job. As she couldn't find a new job she used her savings to start her grocery store business.

María needs this loan to buy basic grains, clothes, footwear and cosmetics as the Christmas season is approaching and this is when her sales are very good and she makes good income. Some of her goals are to buy a freezer and display cases and to better fit out her premises so that she can provide her customers with a better service.
