A loan helped to purchase a dairy cow and poultry birds.

Rhoda's story

Rhoda is a mother of three children, aged between 15 and 20 years, with the last two still attending schooling. She has been in farming for 5 years with her farm products of milk, eggs and maize being sold to the local market. Her family fully relies on farming for their daily upkeep.

Rhoda has requested for a loan of 61,200 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to purchase and insure a dairy cow. She is optimistic that her dairy business will make better returns to meet her family's needs, like the education of her children. She also wants to buy a cereals grinding machine to process her maize into flour and to retail as a finished product. She says animal diseases remain a farmer's major challenge in the area.
