A loan helped to buy rice.

Agueda De Jesus's story

Agueda is 63 years old and a hardworking individual. Despite the many problems she has had to face in life, she has been able to press forward with the help of God.

She started a business selling rice six years ago using a little bit of capital that she received from her husband. Agueda and her husband work together. She distributes her product within Guayaquil and her husband makes deliveries outside of the city. One difficulty they must face is crime and they have been victims of a robbery. Agueda and her husband have three children, all of whom are grown and independent.

She is requesting a loan to expand her business and to buy merchandise, such as rice by the “quintal” (1 quintal = 46 kg). Her dream is to make improvements to her home because she wants to rent out rooms as a new source of income.
