Adjo Bernadette is a 41-year-old woman who is married to a driver. She has three children, of whom two are in school. The first-born is 20 years old, and the last is 7. Adjo Bernadette has been working as a retailer grocer since 2002. She makes her sales out of a store. She buys the goods in Lomé, the capital of Togo. At the moment, her main difficulties are a drop in sales and theft.
Adjo Bernadette has requested her first loan cycle at WAGES to buy some grocery items. She wants to save her extra profits. In the next few years, she would like to open a large store. With the profits, she says she plans to improve her family’s living conditions.
