Edwin is 56 years old and lives with his wife and children in the Osa community which is located in Caña Blancal, located in the Puntarenas province. The highlight of this rural community are its beaches which are frequently visited; its primary economic activities are tourism and agriculture.
Edwin states that having the support of his wife allows him to move forward with his business; in addition, he is very intrigued by the business since he has been able to gradually see its growth. Demand is steadily becoming stronger since members of the community have felt satisfied with the services being offered.
At this time, Edwin is soliciting a loan for ¢600,000 colones ($1200 USD) to purchase feed for the pigs and be able to provide the best upkeep and assistance to this project.
Edwin is a member of the communal crediting agency of Caña Blancal; one of 110 associate organizations of the EDESA in Costa Rica. With this loan he hopes to grow on a personal and economic level. He also notes that thanks to these types of organizations and credit facilitation, that he can now dedicate more time to more productive activities.
