A loan helped to purchase poultry fodder, cages and medicine.

Mariam's story

Mariam is a 32-year-old young woman. She is married and has four sons and two daughters. Mariam lives in Rafah city, Gaza Strip in Palestine. Her husband is a Palestinian National Authority employee who earns a low salary. Mariam and her husband manage a poultry farm, which is one of the few farms in the area where she lives. Mariam wants to purchase poultry fodder, cages and medicines that will improve the productivity of the project, but due to the decent income her husband makes, she is in need of a loan of $1,500 from FATEN. FATEN's loan, which is disbursed in a short period of time, will enable Mariam to pay for the project needs. That will enhance and develop the potential of the project, especially since Mariam is looking forward to become a poultry-breeding expert. Mariam is a religious conservative woman so her husband is photographed instead.
