Hernestina's story

The "Patron Santiago de Santiago" communal bank holds its meetings every thirty days in the city of Cusco. Here we meet the member named Hernestina, and she tells us:

"I was born in Cusco city. I am 38 and a single mother of one child. I live in the city in which I was born and this is where I have my main job: selling fruits and vegetables."

Hernestina has a small stall in the Mojospata market where she sells vegetables and fruits. She has had this business for four years and it is going very well for her thanks to the hard work that she puts into her job. At the moment, Hernestina needs this loan for the purchase of more merchandise such as, for example, fruits and vegetables. Her dream is to see her children become professionals.
