A loan helped a member to purchase baby clothes.

Kollitas Group's story

The Kollitas Community Association will start its first loan cycle with Kiva partner Pro Mujer as part of the Centro Panamericana. It is comprised of seven members and is run by a board of directors headed by Lidia. The businesses that the members of the community association run are varied. Among them we have sales, production, farming, and services.

Lidia states that this is her first time working with Pro Mujer, and she joined at the invitation of a promoter. She has a business selling baby clothes, which she has been running for five years, and which she started with the help of her sister-in-law.

The loan she will take is to invest in merchandise (buying baby clothes). She will purchase these items on Tumusla street and will sell them at the 16 de Julio Market (a commercial zone in the city of El Alto). This work allows her to generate revenue to support her family. She is married and has three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she said that she likes the training and consulting.

In this group: Lidia Wilma , Sabina , Domitila , Fidela, Lucio, Lorenza , Yola
