Théoneste, 54, has been a client of ACB since 2011. He is a member of the group Tubumwemubikorwa. He was born in Rwanda and he attended primary school for six years. He is married and he has six children between the ages of 36 and 18. Two of his children are attending school.
This is his first loan, and Théoneste is going to use the loan to grow rice, paying for labor and buying chemical fertilizer. His strategy is to expand the area cultivated and use fertilizer to expand his agricultural production. He wants to improve the quality of rice he grows. In future, he wants to be capable of financing his undertaking himself.
