Leonard's story

Leonard O. is 32 years old and married to an accountant. He owns an electronic sales shop and also does computer repairs in Kakamega town. Kakamega is a rich agricultural area found in the western region of Kenya. The area is known for large-scale production of sugarcane and thus commonly referred to as the "sugar belt region".

He says that this business is profitable, but the major challenge he has is financial constraints. However, he works very hard to keep his business doing well. He is using his loan of 80,000 KES to buy more electronics to grow his business and meet the demand of his customers.

Leonard hopes to be a wholesaler in the future. He also hopes to open a bigger electronic sales shop in Kakamega town. He describes himself as a visionary man.
