A loan helped to buy seedlings and fertilizer.

Sang's story

Ms. Sang, a 53-year-old single mother from Thach Thanh District, faces the challenge of supporting her family alone. She has a 17-year-old child currently in 11th grade and also cares for her elderly mother, who is over 80 years old and unable to generate any income.

With over 12 years of farming experience, Ms. Sang primarily works in agriculture. To supplement her earnings, she also takes on childcare jobs for local families, but the work is irregular, leaving her household classified as low-income. Seeking financial stability, she has turned to Thanh Hóa MFI for her second loan. Thanks to previous loans, her family's living conditions have improved, and with this loan, she hopes to invest in sugarcane farming: purchasing seedlings and fertilizer to ensure a successful harvest and boost her income.

Her biggest challenge is achieving higher selling prices for her products. In the future, Ms. Sang dreams of a healthy, happy family, building a new home, and saving money as a financial safety net for unexpected hardships like illness or unemployment.
