Levi's story

Levi B., 37 years old, is married with two adult-aged children. Her family is from the village of Cabisera 9-11, San Antonio, Ilagan, Isabela. To make a living, she provides general clothing services to local community members. She has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately $83 a month for these activities.

In 2007, Levi joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 20,000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to invest in renovating the business.

Levi is requesting a new loan of 20,000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional fabrics and sewing materials. This will be her 6th loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve her business.

About ASKI:

ASKI is one of the most successful micro-finance institutions in the Philippines. It has 38 branches covering the Central and Northeastern areas. Its clients are mostly farmers, fisherfolks and small entrepreneurs.
