Mariam is the mother of eight children, three of whom go to school. She is a shopkeeper and has been selling various items from her yard for over 6 years, to which she has added the sale of charcoal.
She has repaid her Kiva loan. She has applied for a new loan to buy five bags of sugar, four bags of Magico soap, 12 bags of charcoal and various products to meet her customers' demand.
With the profits she will reinvest in her business, build up her stock and save to look after her family.
