Pa Khoang 152 Group's story

Standing in the photo on the right-hand side is Thuong. She is a married ethnic minority woman living in Dien Bien, a mountainous province in northern Vietnam. She has two children, the youngest is a student at the secondary level. Since she only completed literacy class, she always wanted her youngest son to pursue higher education.

Currently, she and her husband’s work is mainly related to agriculture. She grows rice, and raises fish, poultry, and cattle, with a particular focus on raising pigs. She is planning to put the income generated by this loan into fish breeding specifically in buying more fish. Fish feed is already available at her home, so this cost will be reduced partly.

Her goals with the profits from this loan are to provide her youngest son with sufficient schooling, repair her house, and also to re-invest. Thank you for this great support from Kiva lenders
