A loan helped to buy a variety of goods (kitchenware) to increase her profit margins.

Rashida Maltiti's story

Rashida Maltiti is a 32-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her family in the Tamale Metro District in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan, she expanded her business selling kitchenware. She used the profits she earned to reinvest in her business.

Rashida Maltiti is requesting another loan to buy a variety of goods (kitchenware) to increase her profit margins. She plans to use the profits she earns to support her daily needs.

Rashida Maltiti will repay the 'social interest' on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a Camfed Kiva Coordinator. She will mentor Kiva borrowers and support them to manage and sustain their businesses.

This loan is special because:

It provides 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs that give back to their community by mentoring.
