A loan helped to buy clay, paint and other raw materials for making handmade items.

Cecilia Lorena's story

Cecilia Lorena and her family live in La Pila in the Montecristi area which is known nationally and internationally for its rich pre-colonial culture and its arts and crafts.
Cecilia Lorena’s a hard-working woman who finds ways to earn an income that she uses to improve hers and her family’s life. She has an arts and crafts workshop and she makes all sorts of figurines from clay and ceramic. She then sells them half-finished to local buyers. She also sells to the public from a premises she has in the centre that customers come to buy from. She manages to get ahead and this is thanks to loans for which she is very grateful. She asks that lenders continue with their help.
This loan is to buy clay, paint and other raw materials for making handmade items.
