Martha María is 46 years old, single and has two children. They live together in the municipality of the Central District, in the department of Francisco Morazan.
For 10 years, she's been making and selling breakfast, lunch, pastries, baleadas (grilled tortillas filled with refried beans, cheese and other savory ingredients), juices, etc. She's runs the business out of her home. Previously, she was a homemaker.
She is requesting a loan of 22,000 Lempira ($875 USD) from the ODEF to buy meat, vegetables, flour, tortillas, fruit and more to make food.
This investment will help her increase sales. Her dream is to have stable finances so she can give her family a better life.
