A loan helped to buy pigs plus feed, bran and other food for them.

Hobisoa's story

Hobisoa, who is 27 years old, is married and mother to three children. She and her husband are actively invested in farming and raising animals, so that they can provide for their family's basic needs.

Determined to improve their living conditions, Hobisoa joined Vahatra to take out loans and build up their activities. The profit from her previous loans for pig farming have allowed them to build up some savings and boost their financial stability.

She is today requesting a new loan to buy pigs and to nourish them with feed, bran and other adapted food. Once they are fattened up, the pigs will be sold to the butcher. Hobisoa hopes thereby to increase her income, save more money and advance her projects for a better future.
