Emily's story

Emily resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 51 years old and has three dependents. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for 11 years.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP 8,000 through Kiva’s lending partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy assorted groceries to sell in her store.
