Doris is 44 years old and married with five children, between the ages of 14 and 24; three of them attend school. She runs a retail business in Kwa Zulu Natal of Empangeni, South Africa. In the photo she is in green, raising her hand.
She’s been in her business for five years and sells Avon products and cleaning materials door-to-door. She requested this loan through WDB and Kiva to buy cleaning materials. She says that the main challenges to her business are customers who take her products on credit and fail to pay on time. She says that the extra income from this loan will help her have a proper shelter. In future she sees herself having an office at the mall to sell her Avon products and as having employees.
She adds that WDB has helped her so much with the loans and she now sees a future in her life.
