Angela's story

Angela N. is 25 years old and lives in the town of Kireka in the Kampala central region of Uganda. She is single and has one child. Her child is not currently in school. Angela has a boutique that sells different types of cloth, which she has had for 3 years.

To help expand her business, Angela has requested a loan of 1,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more cloth for resale. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Angela hopes to generate greater profits and buy food and also pay her house rent. In the future, Angela hopes to open up another boutique business.
