A loan helped a member to buy seeds and agricultural inputs to make it through the potato season.

Sabougnouman Group's story

YAYA is the one with the hoe on his shoulder. The president of the group, he is forty-two years old, married, and the father of two children. A farmer by trade, he has requested an RMCR loan to grow potatoes. He buys seeds and agricultural inputs to make it through the season.

YAYA's dream is to become a big potato farmer. He hopes to make enough profit from his business so he can pay back his loan, pay for his children's education, and also take care of all his family's expenses.

After harvesting his potatoes, YAYA sells them in his village and at the surrounding fairs in his locale.

He likes his business very much because he has been doing it since his childhood. For him it is a very profitable and noble business. The problems he faces are often related to the accessibility of seeds and the high price of agricultural inputs.

In this group: Yaya, Yacouba, Mamadou, Kassim, Tohore, Ousmane, Bissiry, Ramata
