Catarino, age 55, attended school up to second grade. He is married and his wife raises chickens and pigs. He has five adult children.
Catarino works growing corn; he learned from his father 45 years ago. He walks for 30 minutes from his house to the land where he has his crops, and he works from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Also he works raising pigs with help from his wife.
Catarino needs the loan to hire workers to harvest his corn crop.
Catarino dreams of improving his and his wife's quality of life.
