Darou Khoudoss Group's story

This "banc villageois" was created in July 2006 and is made up of good women who are active in commerce. It is a group of 8 good women who maintain good relationships and are supportive of each other. They live in the same village and surrounding areas.
Madam Hélène is a single woman and mother of a boy and 3 girls, all of whom attend school. She is active in the seafood, palm oil and charcoal trade. She is the representative of the group, she is on the left of the photo with one hand raised.
She received a loan of 500,000 F and will buy 50 Kg of smoked fish, 25 Kg cuttlefish, a 20 L can of palm oil, 5 bags of charcoal and will pay 50,000 F for the transport of the goods.
Her advantage in the business is that she works with one of her brothers who goes to buy goods and once in the village she helps him sell all the goods.
She provides education for her children who are still in school and uses another portion of her profits to manage her family's expenses.
