Adama's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 47-year-old Adama from Moriba Branch. She is a married business woman with four children between the ages of 13 and 27 years old. Two are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of herself and her family.

Adama runs a retail business and sells assorted items to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 20 years. Adama says that her challenge is sometimes slow sales.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase assorted items: soap, rice, diapers, etc. to increase her business. Adama says that the extra income from this loan will help to educate her children.

In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
