Zainab's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 29-year-old Zainab from Moriba Branch. She is a married business woman with two children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. They are currently attending school. She started this business to educate her children.

Zainab runs a retail business in which she sells shoes to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 10 years. Zainab says that her challenge is sometimes slow sales.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more shoes to increase her business. Zainab says that the extra income from this loan will help to educate her children.

In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
