Resty's story

Resty is 48 years old and lives in the town of Kabuusu in the Makindye region of Uganda. She is married and has 5 children with 3 of them currently in school. For the past 20 years, Resty has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells clothes.

To help expand her business, Resty has requested a loan of 4,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more clothes for the boutique. This will help Resty to generate greater profits and improve the standard of living of her family.

Resty hopes that in the future she will be able to Business expansion.She is a member of BRAC's Microfinance Program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members, like her, who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
