A loan helped to buy more soft drinks to sell.

Jane's story

Jane is 66 years old and lives in Kabuusu in the Makindye region of Uganda. She's married and has six children. For two decades, she's been working hard managing her beverage business, which sells soft drinks.

To help expand her business, Jane has requested a loan of 4,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda to buy more soft drinks, helping her generate greater profits and improve family income. She hopes to expand.

She's a member of BRAC's Microfinance Program, which primarily serves small group members, like Jane, who don't have collateral for commercial loans, but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
