A loan helped to buy more shoes, clothes and the like to increase her sales.

Susan's story

43-year-old Susan is from Torkpoi Town Branch. She is married with three children between the ages of ten and 22 years old, all currently attending school. She started this business to support her husband in taking care of the children.

Susan sells clothing to customers around the community. She has been in business for the past ten years and says that the increase in cost of goods and commodities in the country is a challenge to her business.

Susan requested this loan through Kiva's lending partner BRAC Sierra Leone to buy more shoes, clothes and the like to increase her sales. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to support her children.

In the future Susan would like to scale up her business. She wishes to thank BRAC and Kiva for their support.
