A loan helped to invest in growing sugarcane trees.

Đông's story

Mr. Đông, a 39-year-old man, is married and has three children aged 14, 10, and 9, all of whom are attending school. His family belongs to an ethnic minority and resides in a mountainous area in Thạch Thành district. While his wife works as a tailor, Mr. Đông is a freelance laborer. To supplement their income, the couple also grows sugarcane on their small family farm.

Due to a lack of capital for purchasing additional sugarcane seedlings and fertilizer, Mr. Đông is applying for a sixth loan from Thanh Hóa MFI, which he intends to repay gradually. He hopes that within a year, the sugarcane crop will yield high productivity, significantly boosting the family’s income and improving their quality of life.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
