A loan helped to purchase seedlings, string, a pitchfork, compost, fertilizer and disinfectants.

Adela Leonor's story

Adela is 35 years old, and lives in the Guagala Alto area with her mother and child. She only studied through first grade, and since then, she has been working as a day laborer, which allowed her to learn how to farm some of the common crops in the area.

The main items she farms are passionfruit and gooseberries. She does organic farming so her product is good quality. She is requesting a loan to increase the size of her passionfruit crop. For this, she needs to purchase seedlings, string, a pitchfork, compost, fertilizer and disinfectants.

Adelia is striving to purchase her own land. She hopes that her farm work will produce what is necessary to achieve this goal. In this way, she will be more financially stable to provide her child with a complete education. She wants to provide the opportunities she did not have around education.
