Kadiatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 45-year-old Kadiatu from Masingbi branch. She is a married business woman with five children between the ages of 6 months and 28 years old. Two are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Kadiatu runs a retail business and sells slippers to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 12 years ago. Kadiatu says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods in the market.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more slippers to increase her business. Kadiatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support
