Haydee's story

Haydee and her family live in Montecristi. It is known for its rich precolonial history and its handicrafts, which are renowned both nationally and internationally.

Haydee is a hardworking woman who seeks a way to make income in order to move her family forward. She and one of her children work selling fruits and vegetables. They buy them wholesale at a warehouse, and later go out to sell in the city and nearby areas, on a tricycle she has for this work.

She also sells from home to neighbors who come to buy. This is how she is managing to continue on, thanks to the help of loans. This loan is to buy tomatoes, onions, peppers, carrots, apples, oranges, and many other fruits and vegetables.
