Phuong is an ethnic minority woman. She is living in a northwest commune in Viet Nam. In this photo, she stands in the corner on the right. Living in a place where agriculture is the primary source of income for every household, her family is no exception. She and her husband work in the fields every day. Along with cultivation, she raises cows, chickens and ducks for additional income. She has a lot of available forage to feed cows, so she wants to buy more cows to expand her business and increase her income.
Therefore, she applied then received a loan to fulfill her purpose. If the business goes well, she will use her profits to pay for her family's expenses and cover tuition fees for her child. She hopes for her family to have a healthy and happy life, for her business to do well and for her child to have a better future ahead.
