Halamalu's story

Halamalu weaves taovala and mats and sells out at the local market and to relative overseas in order to generate income for her family. She is a widow, and she has two sons who attend the tertiary level. Her business income and her loans help in paying for her sons' school fees.

She was a sole weaver, but now she has managed to find a group and join the women for weaving. Weaving with a group of women enables her to meet her customers' needs on time.
