A loan helped to purchase more drinks to sell.

Pawahma's story

Meet 38-year-old Pawahma. She has three children who live at home while attending school.

Pawahma runs a successful business selling drinks and started the business with her own savings. Over the years, she has been able to manage her operations effectively, facing no major challenges. She works diligently from Monday through Saturday and uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

To further grow her business, Pawahma requested a loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner. With this loan, she plans to purchase more drinks to sell to her loyal clients. Pawahma enjoys her business because it provides significant support for her family, helping to meet their needs and improve their quality of life. Looking ahead, Pawahma dreams of owning a bigger business, one that can reach even more customers and bring in more income.

She is deeply thankful to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
