A loan helped to empower her tapa making business by buying more mulberry to use for making tapa.

'Ana's story

'Ana makes a living for her family from making tapa. She started up this tapa making business in 2010 with the help of her mother and her aunty. 'Ana is married and a mother of eight kids. They all live together under the same roof. Currently, her husband doesn't have a job so that means this tapa making business is the only source of income for this family.

'Ana joins a group of women in their village to make tapa. They can make more than 10 tapa in a day; they only choose Friday to do the tapa making and the other days of the week they make the soft tapa and also design the whole tapa.

She earns a good income from this tapa making business. Due to her mulberry use for her tapa making business, she does not have enough to continue making more tapa. This is why she applied for this loan to empower her small business by buying more mulberry to use for her tapa making.
