A loan helped to expand her pond and increase her stock of fingerlings.

Mabel's story

Mabel lives in a village in the municipality of Villa Garzón. Her community is very small. The main industry in this area is aquaculture. Mabel is 24 years old, single, and lives with her parents. She learned about the aquaculture business, especially raising red tilapia, from her mother. Mabel has been in this business for the past five years.

She is requesting a loan of 5,220,000 COP to expand her pond and increase her stock of fingerlings. This will help improve her production and increase her income. Mabel dreams of having a large piece of property where she can raise a variety of fish and diversify her investments. She sells her products to large wholesalers who will distribute them to different cities around the country.

Mabel says that she feels more empowered with this financial support since it will help her expand her business and become a successful entrepreneur.
