María is a rural woman, 48 years old, who belongs to Ecuador's indigenous ethnicity. Her spouse is a day laborer and her children are in secondary school. She does agricultural activities such as raising animals like cows, pigs, chickens, and guinea pigs. The guinea pig is sold a lot in the zone as it is a typical dish which people enjoy a lot in the Ecuadorian mountains.
María asks for a loan to invest in the purchase of some young animals of various animals which she raises to be able to increase her earnings with the sales. In the future, she plans to package the guinea pig meat to sell in the supermarkets.
María did not have a complete education, so she wants her children to have one and become professionals so they can get ahead.
