Hugo, age 56, is a respected, responsible, and very hardworking man of the countryside. He lives with his family in a humble little house that he and his spouse were able to build through years of effort and dedication. Hugo and his spouse earn a living growing cacao of excellent quality. It has been known in the area for eight years for the aroma and flavor that make his products export quality.
Hugo wants to expand his crops with more cacao trees. Therefore he is requesting a loan to buy seeds, fertilizers, and mulch and to pay the workers who help to care for his farm. In this way, he hopes to improve production of cacao, giving him greater return, to change his family's living conditions.
