A loan helped to renew her canteen license and bulk buy canteen goods.

Mei's story

Mei found that the most suitable income-earning task for was to be a shopkeeper, so she opened a canteen within her community of Navunisole. Sure enough, within months of opening, she started earning enough to be able to pay the electricity and water bills of a large family of seven and assist in putting food on the table on most days.

With all the expenses, she barely has enough to expand the size of the canteen to accommodate for the community's wants and needs so she hopes to acquire a loan to do that. The loan would help her extend her canteen, renew her canteen license and really buy everything in larger amounts as she noticed that she has maximum profits from bulk purchasing.

Even before expansion, her business is really running smoothly so she is also very sure doing so will only be as successful.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
