A loan helped to purchase compost, fertilizer, fungicides and to pay for labor to maintain her crops.

Gladiz Paulina's story

Paulina is 26 years old and lives with her family in the Cahuasquí parish, in the Imbabura province. This area is very fruitful and is known for its fertile lands.

Paulina works by farming beans. She has a vision which is to continue getting ahead through her farm work, so that years later, generations can continue this work as she has done, thanks to her father. Her father taught her to work the land and how to seek an honest income in order to survive.

Paulina is requesting a loan to purchase compost, fertilizer, fungicides and to pay for labor to maintain her crops. This season is very dry so she needs to pay more attention to grow products that are good quality and that she can sell for a good price at the market.

Paulina is very grateful for the support and trust that KIVA offers since her farm is her main source of income to provide her family with a better quality of life.
