Tasiu's story

Tasiu is a 29-year-old man who is warm, cheerful, and surrounded by family, and is surprisingly optimistic for someone who has worked so hard his entire life. He's married, lives in a small village in Kaduna, Nigeria, and has always considered himself an entrepreneur. His children occasionally help him out on the farm.

Tasiu is a Babban Gona farmer and his main problem has been very low income, poor farming practices. He wants a loan to hire more laborers to help him cultivate his land and increase his productivity. Tasiu expects 40 bags per hectare from this year's harvest, double the national Nigerian average of 20 bags per hectare. He plans to reinvest the profits from this harvest into his farm and support his children's education and pay his children's school fees, buy more nutritious foods.

With your help, Tasiu can afford the high cost of farm inputs necessary for his enterprise. Your loan will go a long way toward changing the life of this smallholder farmer.
