A loan helped to buy 1,200 banana plants to diversify her crops.

Mehilin Liseth's story

Mehilin lives with her partner and a child who is a minor and her dependent. Her father and a brother live abroad. Mehilin has worked for three years growing bananas; she learned from her grandfather. She works from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The advantage she has in her business is its location where it is easy to obtain water.

She is requesting a loan to be able to have a good harvest from her farming. She will use the borrowed funds to buy 1,200 banana plants to diversify her crops. Thus she will be able to meet customer demand, and with that, to increase her income.

She aspires to continue working in her business to increase the area where she plants bananas, to have economic stability to meet the needs of her family.
