Gilberto is 48 years old and has a 2nd grade education. He was not able to continue in school because he was the oldest of his siblings, and he had responsibilities in order to provide for the family. He now has 2 children who are in school.
Gilberto has worked in agriculture since he was 13 years old. His father taught him to cultivate vegetables and basic grains. He walks 10 minutes to get to the parcel of land that he is cultivating, and he works from 6am until 2pm. His children help out with this work.
