Maria Ana's story

Maria Ana resides in the province of Davao Del Sur. She is 60 years old and married. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for seven years.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP 50,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEV (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy grocery items and drinks to sell in her store.

Maria Ana dreams of improving her business in the future for a better means of living.
