Gs El Batey Group's story

Olimpia is a 65 year old Dominican woman. Currently, she is single. She is an enterprising and hardworking woman, the mother of six children who studied up to 4th grade of high school.
She has had approximately 30 years in sales. Currently, she has a food business where she sells: rice, meats, eggs, green beans, rolls, fried chicken, fried plantains, cassava arepitas (small stuffed tortillas), green plantains, sausages, pasta, etc. She has this business in a small space she set up in her house.
With this loan she wants to buy more inputs in order to have more variety, to make her business grow, satisfy her customers needs and be able to generate more income. Besides managing her business, Olimpia also does community service, because she believes in the importance of giving back to the community.
She is the group’s coordinator and this is her loan # 10 with AEI. Her dream is to be able to help her community and be a productive member for it. Thanks for supporting Olimpia and the solidarity group El Batey.
