A loan helped to buy more cosmetic products.

Kautharah's story

Kautharah is 42 years old and lives in the town of Gayaza in the Gayaza region of Uganda. She is married and has four children, who are all currently in school.

For the past six years, Kautharah has been working hard to manage her e-commerce and cosmetics business, where she does e-commerce and sells cosmetics.

To help expand her business, Kautharah has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more cosmetic products. This will help Kautharah to generate greater profits and be able to expand her business.

Kautharah hopes that in the future she will be able to buy land.

She is a member of BRAC's Microfinance Program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members, like Kautharah, who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
