The "Virgen de Guadalupe" communal bank is in its 21st lending cycle. The communal bank is made of up eight members. The board of directors is pictured in the above photograph: the president, the treasurer and the secretary. They are happy to continue working, as a team, toward a better future.
Aydee is 43 years old. She has two children, who are her strength and her inspiration. Aydee considers herself to be a hard-working, determined woman who has a desire to improve her situation. She has had a shoe sales business for ten years. She sells shoes, sandals and other items. Her greatest challenge is bringing in novel items.
Aydee's grandest dream is to further expand her business. In addition to this business, she earns an income growing cacao and coffee.
Aydee will use her Kiva loan to further expand her business by purchasing shoes, sandals and other footwear.
